Who remembers where they were in 2002? Volunteer Christian Builders gathered together with Crew Chief, Bill Self, and went to Big Sleep, Wyoming. Down this winding road is now an Evangelical Baptist Church spreading the news of Jesus to all who will listen.
When volunteers reached their destination they set up camp and gathered together to discuss their "plan of attack."
They spend the next two weeks adding an addition to the small church building. It was from the ground up but went quite quickly. It was dried in before they left to go on to another job the Lord had waiting for them. Another crew from Missouri came in August and put in heat and did landscaping.
The volunteers and any church members present took morning breaks to have devotions and praise the Lord. We have a picture of two ladies praising with music. Doris Ward wrote a wonderful song- maybe this is what she is sharing in the picture?
The local newspaper, Northern Wyoming Daily, published an article on the volunteers and the project you may find interesting to read below.
