In September of 2011, Volunteer Christian Builder President Bob Hawes, fled a Vermont campground due to flooding from Tropical Storm Irene. They drove around and ended up in Life Fellowship's parking lot. The pastor came over and welcomed them and invited them inside the church for coffee. It was at that time the pastor showed them they were expanding the church and a relationship was built.
It was a God thing, said Bob Hawes. They showed us the plans and it worked and we are thankful it did."
Then in August of 2012, nineteen couples with Volunteer Christian Builders began the project at Life Fellowship Foursquare Church in New Hampshire to build a new 7,500 square-foot sanctuary. Their work on Life Fellowship was featured in 2 newspapers (see article below) and they had a TV interview. It was the highlight of VCB volunteers and the Charleston community that summer.
